Een split-airco bestaat uit twee onderdelen:

• De binnenunit, die de lucht in huis koelt en de temperatuur regelt.

• de buitenunit regelt het koudemiddelproces (koelcyclus)

Het koudemiddel wisselt continu van gas naar vloeistof en terug, waardoor er energie (warmte) verplaatst wordt.

Onze monteurs plaatsen beide units veilig en netjes, meestal binnen één werkdag.

Waar plaats je de buitenunit?

De plek van de buitenunit

Mogelijke locaties zijn:

• Aan de buitenmuur met een stevige beugel

• Op de grond in de tuin of op een plat dak

• Op het balkon, mits er voldoende ruimte en ventilatie is

We zorgen altijd voor voldoende vrije ruimte rondom het apparaat, zodat het optimaal presteert. Zowel de buitenunit als de binnenunit heeft de ruimte nodig voor luchtsirculatie

Hoe komt de aansluiting naar binnen?

Er wordt een klein gat in de muur geboord, meestal zo’n 6 centimeter doorsnee. Via dit gat lopen de koperen leidingen en stroomkabels die de binnen- en buitenunit met elkaar verbinden. Ook wordt er een condensafvoer aangelegd — via dit slangetje druppelt het water naar buiten dat vrijkomt van het condenseren bij het koelen.

Moet de meterkast aangepast worden?

Nee, in de meeste gevallen niet. De meeste huishoudelijke airco’s verbruiken weinig stroom en kunnen gewoon op een standaard stopcontact worden aangesloten. Alleen bij grotere installaties of combinaties met verwarming bekijken we of een aparte stroomgroep nodig is.

A split air conditioner consists of two components:

• The outdoor unit, which controls the refrigerant cycle.

The refrigerant continuously switches between gas and liquid, allowing energy (heat) to be transferred.

Our technicians install both units safely and neatly, usually within one working day.

Where is the outdoor unit placed?

Possible locations include:

• Mounted on an exterior wall with a sturdy bracket

• Positioned on the ground in the garden or on a flat roof

• Installed on a balcony, provided there is enough space and ventilation

We always ensure there is sufficient free space around the unit to guarantee optimal performance. Both the indoor and outdoor units need space for proper air circulation.

How is the connection made to the inside?

A small hole is drilled through the wall, typically around 6 centimeters in diameter. Through this opening, copper pipes and power cables run, connecting the indoor and outdoor units. A condensate drain is also installed — this hose allows the water produced by condensation during cooling to drain outside.

Does the electrical panel need to be upgraded?

In most cases, no. Most household air conditioners have low energy consumption and can be connected to a standard power outlet. For larger systems or setups that include heating, we assess whether a separate power circuit is required.
